How Bidit works · for consumers

Post once.
Licensed providers compete.
Pick the best.

Bidit is a reverse-auction marketplace. You describe what you need — licensed pros compete live for your business in a 24-hour arena. You see every bid, every rating, every response time. You decide.

Post a request →

Three steps. Twenty-four hours. Real bids.

📝

Post your request

Tell Bidit what you need in plain language — "Roofer in Laval, leak on south slope, urgent" or "Mortgage broker in Montréal for a $400K home." Our AI routes it to the right petal and the right region. Free, no account required.

🏁

Vendors race to bid

Every licensed pro in your zone gets pinged at the same instant. They enter the arena, post a real bid (price + pitch), and the leaderboard updates in real time. Vendors typically respond within 1–24 hours; if no qualified vendor is in your region yet, we hold first-in-line position for you and notify you when one joins.

Pick the winner

You see every bid side-by-side: price, response time, license type, rating. Pick on merit — not on whoever paid the most. The winner is notified instantly and contacts you directly to close the deal.

⏱ The 24-hour arena

Every request creates a private arena that stays open for 24 hours by default. Inside, vendors compete in the open. Outside, only you can see who bid what.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Bidit cost me as a consumer?

Nothing. Free forever. No subscription, no listing fee, no commission on the deal you close. Vendors pay Bidit a small platform-access fee for placement in their zone — never per lead, never a percentage of your transaction.

How long does the arena stay open?

24 hours by default, but you can pick a winner the moment a bid feels right — there is no obligation to wait. Most arenas in active petals (Flights, contractors, cleaning) reach 3+ bids inside the first 6 hours.

What if no vendor bids?

If you post in a region or petal that doesn't have enough vendors yet, your request becomes a "demand signal." We email you the moment a qualified vendor joins and re-open your arena automatically. You can also leave your email on any "blossoming-soon" petal to get pinged when it goes live.

Are the vendors actually licensed, or is this self-declared?

Pre-verified at the source. We cross-check against the official registry for the relevant petal — RBQ for Quebec contractors, NPI for US healthcare, Companies House for UK businesses, SIRENE for France, ABR for Australia, OPC/OMVIC for auto dealers, Chambre des notaires for QC notaries, and so on. License + region are shown next to every bid.

What's the difference between Bidit and a lead-gen aggregator?

Two big differences. First, you (the consumer) see every bid and pick — there's no opaque algorithm matching you to one vendor based on who paid for the slot. Second, vendors don't pay per lead, so they can compete on real value instead of inflated quotes to cover lead costs. You typically save 15-40% versus the same job priced through an aggregator.

Which categories ("petals") are live right now?

Flights is live worldwide today. Cleaning, Contractors, Photography, Auto, and 14 other petals (Beauty, Design, Education, Events, Fitness, Health, Homes, IT services, Legal, Movers, Notary, Pet, Tourism, Wedding) are seed-ready and will activate as soon as we receive regulatory acknowledgment from Quebec's Bill 96 review process. Three petals (Insurance, Finance, Accounting) are held back pending Quebec financial-regulator clarification — this is a deliberate compliance hold, not a build delay.

Can I post a request from outside Canada?

Yes. Bidit is bilingual EN/FR by default, and Flights is worldwide. Other petals will accept consumer posts from any region — but you'll only see bids from vendors licensed in your jurisdiction (RBQ won't bid in London, Companies House won't bid in Sydney). The arena tells you up front how many vendors are eligible in your zone.

What happens after I pick a winner?

The vendor is notified instantly with your contact details and contacts you directly to close the deal. Bidit steps out of the conversation. We don't take a commission, don't escrow your payment, and don't lock you into the platform. After the job is done, you rate the vendor — your rating is public and shapes their position in future arenas.

How does Bidit make money if it's free for consumers?

Vendors pay for zone-based placement in petals they want to compete in. The fee is disclosed up front, identical for every vendor in the same zone, and never depends on whether they win the bid. We also earn affiliate revenue on Flights bookings (transparently shown to you on the result page) and may add premium features for vendors (analytics, sponsored petal placements) over time.

Is Bidit related to Manera or another company?

Bidit® is a registered trademark and an independent business line operated by Manera Technologies Inc., a Montreal corporation. Bidit has its own roadmap, its own pricing, and its own product surface at justbidit.ai. Nothing about Bidit's marketplace activity is shared with any other Manera product. Ready to make the market bow to you?

One post. Three competing bids. Twenty-four hours. Pick the best — or pick none. The arena is yours.
